Organic Cotton Same as standard cotton except organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers and other chemicals
Because organic cotton is grown entirely without chemicals, it reduces the harmful effects of pesticides and fertilizers used in traditional methods. Organic cotton farming renews the soil through crop rotation and by using manure fertilizer.
In order for organic cotton to be “certified,” the land used to grow the cotton must be treated organically for 3 years and obtain a certificate from a governing agency.
